GAWL has partnered with Dr. Elizabeth Boyd, Research Director of the Women’s Leadership Center at Kennesaw State University, to investigate the leaky pipeline for women in the legal profession. This project will contribute to the scientific understanding of women’s underrepresentation within leadership of the legal profession, as well as to practical knowledge of how to assist with retention and development.
The study’s comprehensive mixed-methods design will allow for an understanding of the leaky pipeline phenomenon that is theoretically grounded, yet informed by the authentic experiences and opinions of attorneys—both women and men, practicing and non-practicing. We encourage all Georgia Bar members to respond.
Look for an email with a link to GAWL’s online survey in the near future.
